Donate to help us build a concrete skatepark in Middlebury!

Middlebury Skatepark Project is partnering with the Town of Middlebury to bring a professionally-designed concrete skatepark to the center of town. Your support will help us get there!

Why a skatepark?

A skatepark provides a dedicated place for athletes, both new and experienced, to practice their disciplines (be it on a skateboard, scooter, BMX bike, quad or inline skates, wheelchair…) in a safe, community-oriented environment. Skateparks become a local gathering place, especially when sited in a central location where other recreation activities are taking place.

Why concrete?

Skateparks built with wood and metal ramps deteriorate over time and need a lot of upkeep. Cast-in-place concrete parks require very little maintenance, provide the best grip in all kinds of weather, and allow for the greatest design flexibility and innovation.  A well-designed and well-built concrete skatepark is a huge asset to a community!

Our Partners and Supporters

“We agree a skatepark facility will be a popular addition to outdoor recreation options in Middlebury and wholeheartedly support [Middlebury Skatepark Project’s] planning and fundraising efforts.”

Town of Middlebury Selectboard
Brian Carpenter, Chair

“We believe a skate park at Rec. Park would be a true asset to the town and would be another step in the departmental and committee’s goal of revitalizing the park and making it a true family destination.”

Middlebury Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee
Greg BoglioLi, Chair

“What we also find compelling about the Middlebury Skatepark is its ability to be equitable regardless of socio/economic backgrounds. The culture of a skatepark is naturally accepting of alternative life choices and supports the many whoe feel abandoned by the Middlebury community which aligns with our mission.”

The Teen Center
Lindsey fuentes-George, Executive Director

“Chill Foundation is excited to support the Middlebury Skatepark Project and to recommend them as a group whose mission is valuable and vital to their community. We look forward to partnering further with Middlebury Skatepark Project and bringing our unique programs to their new skatepark upon its completion!”

Chill Foundation
Bailey Monty, Grants Manager

“We are excited about the possibility of a more advanced skatepark option coming to the area so those who have worked so hard at our progression park can continue to grow and develop. We can speak to the positive community resource the park provides and encourage every community to bring one in.”

Bristol Hub and Skatepark
Taylor Welch, Director

“United Way of Addison County and the PEEPS coalition support the efforts of the Middlebury Skatepark Project as they seek external funding to support this project. Any project that is designed to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of youth will benefit our Addison County community at large.”
