Board Member Spotlight: Devin Santikarma

Devin Santikarma is a sophomore at Middlebury College and is one of our board members. He is interested in Social Justice, Journalism and Photography. He was born in Bali, lives in Virginia, and has two more years at Middlebury to help us get a skatepark built. Devin was at our very first public meeting with a crew of Midd kids in tow and continues to be our liaison to the burgeoning skate community on campus. Devin was also the first student to select The Middlebury Skatepark Project for the Community Connected Learning course which pairs community engagement with academic credit. He paved the way for two more students (Rivinka de Silva and Col McDermott) this semester and many more to come. Devin grew up surfing and skateboarding, and is now a snowboarder too thanks to the Vermont snow that is lacking in Bali. He plays bass guitar in multiple bands on campus and has hosted two benefit shows to raise money for the skatepark.
