Board Member Spotlight: Larry Montague

Larry is excited to be a part of the Middlebury Skatepark Project and to serve on its board. He is a science teacher at MUMS (Middlebury Union Middle School) and also a substitute staff member in the bulk department at the Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op. He grew up on BMX bikes and skateboards, although his brother Nick is the official skateboarder in the family. Larry still loves getting outside on the local hiking and mountain bike trails, some of which he can take to school! Larry lives in Middlebury with his wife and two daughters.

Larry has helped out with outreach and fundraising projects and is hard at work on our Fall Fundraising Event. He also enjoys rallying support from his 7th and 8th grade students and encouraging them to get involved in community projects like MSP.

As many of you know ACSD schools started this week and Mr. Montague welcomed his students once again with fresh lyrics full of positivity, pride, and respect. “First day of Science, how should we start? what should we do? you get to know me, I get to know you.” We at MSP feel very lucky to know Mr. Montague and we bet his students do too.
