Skate Deck Auction and Fundraiser bring in over $13,800 for the Middlebury Skatepark Project

We can’t possibly give enough thanks for all the support we received for our auction and fundraiser — but we’re gonna try! THANK YOU to everyone who made this fall fundraising effort a HUGE success. We raised well over double our original goal of $5,000. Bids from the skate deck auction alone brought in over $10,300, including the winning bid for the Mark Gonzales deck which topped $5,000! Merch sales, donations, and a portion of sales donated by Notte Pizza put us over $13,800. Notte was once again a stellar event host, they have the best team around and make some pretty dang amazing pizza too. And thank you to Foley Brothers Brewing brewing for donating a keg of special skatepark lager for the event! Cheers to the many volunteers who took up jobs large or small to make the fundraiser a success. Thank you to National Bank of Middlebury for loaning us your windows for two weeks, and a very special shout-out to Jef Bratspis for building the skate deck display structures and leading the effort to set them up at NBM and move them to Notte on Friday.

We’ve already had interest from other artists that want to participate next year as well! We love the art/skatepark crossover and we’re so glad you all do too. Let’s keep it rollin’ for a concrete skatepark in Middlebury!
