The Town of Middlebury, in partnership with the Middlebury Skatepark Project, is excited to announce the official launch of the design phase for its new concrete skatepark. This significant milestone will begin with a crucial public input meeting on Tuesday, August 6th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Middlebury Town Offices. This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the project and share ideas through group discussions and interactive design exercises.

The town has engaged New Line Skateparks, a leading skatepark design firm, to lead the process, ensuring a state-of-the-art and inclusive space for all wheeled sports enthusiasts.

The meeting will be hosted by Chris Long from Newline Skateparks, a skatepark designer with a background in civil engineering and nine years of experience working on skatepark projects across the country.

Community input is paramount to the success of this project. The Town of Middlebury is committed to creating a skatepark that reflects the diverse interests and skill levels of its users, from beginners to advanced riders. Attendees will have the chance to share their ideas, ask questions, and contribute to shaping a facility that truly meets the needs and aspirations of Middlebury’s wheeled sports community. For those unable to attend, an online survey will be available for two weeks following the event. This feedback is an important part of the concept design phase and will help guide the design directions developed by the skatepark design team.
